Our values

The company values are the performance, the economy, the ecology and the citizenship

AQUATIRIS charter

It represents the values we stand up for. Here are the lines...

Autonomy and matter value

Boues-et-compost-sur-FV-5ans-(13).JPG

Sanitation called autonomous often usurps the term "autonomous" because in reality, it creates sludge (insoluble residues from organic activity of bacteria that purify the wastewater). The collection and the treatment of the sludge (waste matters from the tanks) are a problem for local authorities: cost, transport, overloading of existing wastewater treatment plants...

The sludge concentration of all individual installations create local pollutionElimination of the sludge involved in the depletion of the cycle of organic matter while the composting of organic materials that we reject enrich the cycle of organic matter.

The composting process transform the waste into compost, with similar properties of the forest soil. It is not smelly and is useful in ornamental garden.

We defend the respect of life cycles and local materials management, in contrast to an expensive treatment and relocated generator nuisances and pollution.

Reed beds do not generate sludge but a compost useful it is a true autonomy.

Limit the environmental impact and enhance wastewater

P1010184.JPG

Fresh water is precious. It is the basis of all forms of life. That is why we must preserve it by reducing our consumption and give back to the environment a healthier water. A sanitation system must be effective, but that effort should not be to the detriment of the rest.

If the installation of a drainage system requires major work, creates new waste and the sustainability of the system is limited, the life cycle assessment is not satisfactory.

 • The role of plants is primarily mechanical: associated with worms and other small animals, they ensure anti-clogging action of the substrate. Plants do not directly provide the purification process, it is always the result of bacterial activity, regardless of the sanitation system.

Aesthetic enhancement

Traditional domestic waste water treatment systems consider wastewater as a waste, a waste must be buried. That is why they are buried. At the same time, access is made difficult, which could impose heavy interventions and significant costs to any problems.

AQUATIRIS designs reed beds with landscape integration.
The system consists of plant filters. The plants species are rustic and grow naturally in wetlands. They have a long growing period, with flowering for some, such as mint, iris, purple loosestrife and plantain. At the end of the treatment, a discharge area planted of woody species, complete the landscape.
On the contrary, we consider wastewater as a profitable resource to install reed beds, whose aesthetic embellish the garden. This visibility also ensures easy accessibility of each work in case of malfunction. However, the health risks are not to be forgotten, hence the need to take precautions in the design as for use.

Health aspects

The effectiveness of reed beds is known, both collective and individual sanitation. Its particularity is to receive raw effluent without primary settling (septic tank), which distinguishes it from other systems. This technique is a French specificity. Moreover, in collective, France leads the way with a die with many strengths.

The visibility and accessibility of reed beds help to an easy control and maintenance. However, this ask the question, in the case of autonomous installations, health risks related to the accessibility of effluents.

To avoid accidental contact between the user and its effluents, AQUATIRIS sets up a fence to protect access to the system and a grill on top of the vertical filter.
